| Trans-Alarm Among Top-100 US Security Companies

BURNSVILLE, MN. - December 15, 2003 – Trans-Alarm, Inc. announced today that the Company has again been ranked among the Top-100 security alarm dealers in the United States. The firm was recently included in the 13th Annual SDM 100 Report, the Industry’s only published analysis of the top electronic security firms operating in the U.S. Trans-Alarm was also included in a similar report that ranked the nation’s Top 100 security system integrators, the specialized area of electronic security that combines video, card access and other elements into comprehensive systems. Both surveys were published by SDM Magazine, a professional trade journal serving the security industry.
This is the fourth consecutive year that Trans-Alarm has been named to the Top-100 list. In 2001, the firm was also honored as Security Dealer of the Year, recognizing both sales growth and the firm’s innovative business model, which includes an employee stock ownership plan.
